If you’re looking for affordable comfort and spacious rooms with incredible mountain views, TownePlace Suites Colorado Springs Garden of the Gods might just be your next go-to hotel. Part of the Marriott Bonvoy family, this property is designed with longer stays in mind, but it’s also a great pick for quick overnight visits — just like mine.

Here’s what to expect and whether I think it’s worth booking for your next trip to Colorado Springs.

🏨 First Impressions

The hotel is located just minutes from the famous Garden of the Gods, and the views from the property are stunning — a true Colorado welcome. The lobby and common areas are simple and functional. While the property shows some wear outdoors, it still delivers where it matters most: space, cleanliness, and value.

🛌 Room Tour: Two-Bedroom Suite

I stayed in a two-bedroom suite, and what impressed me most was how apartment-like it felt. For the same or even less than a typical hotel room in the area, this suite offered:

  • Two private bedrooms

  • A living room with a fold-out bed

  • A full kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator

  • A two-stage bathroom (sink area separate from toilet/shower)

  • A small desk/workspace

🎒 Perfect travel items for long-stay suites

🍳 Breakfast

The free breakfast was solid and included:

  • Scrambled eggs

  • Muffins, bagels, oatmeal

  • Chocolate milk, oat milk, regular milk

  • Regular and decaf coffee, plus hot water for tea

It’s not gourmet, but it’s a great grab-and-go setup that gets the job done.

🏋️ On-Site Fitness Center

There’s a small exercise room with:

  • A treadmill

  • A stair machine

  • A bench and free weights

  • A full-length mirror

  • Loud music (so be ready!)

It’s compact but has the essentials for a quick workout.

🧴 Packable gym towel and workout gear

🚬 Areas for Improvement

While the interior of the hotel was clean and comfortable, there were some maintenance and cleanliness issues outdoors:

  • Cigarette butts were scattered near entrances and in sidewalk cracks

  • Trash cans were overflowing around the property

  • A few small wear-and-tear issues were noticeable

These didn’t ruin the stay, but they stood out — especially because the rest of the experience was solid.

🛏️ Sleep Quality

The beds were clean and in good shape. If you like a firm mattress, you’ll be happy here. I personally prefer a softer bed, but that comes down to individual preference. Overall, I had a comfortable night’s sleep.

👍 Final Thoughts: Should You Stay Here?

✅ Yes — especially if:

  • You’re visiting Garden of the Gods or Pikes Peak

  • You want a suite-style room with kitchen amenities

  • You’re traveling with family or staying more than one night

  • You’re on a budget but still want a clean, reliable place to stay

🛏️ Book TownePlace Suites Garden of the Gods on Expedia

If you’re okay with a few minor outdoor upkeep issues, the value and comfort here are fantastic. I’d stay here again — and definitely recommend it.
